Hello everynyan. I just got a new laptop and can finally start working on my game for reals. I've just been sitting in libraries trying to code it in javascript only (I know) in the Neocities code editor. But because I have a laptop now that means I can start making actual progress! Yay!

I want to make a game that has a vocaloid soundtrack and a rhythm game function but still has lore. That'll release on Steam and Itch.io when the demo is done. All the art will be done by me and/or my girlfriend Sierra with absolutely no ai being used in any of the process.

Soon I get an ipad and an apple pencil and I can start making sprites to mess around with in Unity! I'm so excited. Until then I'm just learning the basics of all of the softwares while getting used to my new laptop.

It should be mentioned that I start school soon for software engineering and might have less free time to work on my projects. Despite that, I want to set goals to get as much done for it as possible in my down time.

I'm very inspired by games like Scratchin Melodii, Parappa, D4DJ, and composers like Toby Fox. I'll be using FL Studio as my DAW but I have to wait for a few paychecks to buy the better version first haha.

Still deciding on how I want my game to sound but I've been binge watching music theory videos lately to get an idea of what I want my production style to sound like. I'll be releasing my music on Spotify as well as Youtube when I do finish my first song. I'm so excited for that. The internet can be so negative sometimes but the vocaloid community is so sweet that I don't feel as afraid to release my things out into the aether for others to see. In general I'd say the community just gets happy when they discover new producers or when someone knows hatsune miku at all.

This is goodbye for now but you can expect updates once I really get familiar with the softwares and have some concept art done. Until then, happy Halloween!
